Welcome

Life can ask a lot of us and sometimes our wellbeing is compromised because of all that we hold. The counselling space I offer exists as an invitation to pause, to be met with compassion and non-judgemental deep listening and to come back into right relationship with yourself. Sometimes anxiety, trauma, depression, overwhelm and/or our own inner and outer stories and experience may be or feel too much and talking things through, exploring the depths or being supported may be needed.

My approach in counselling is grounded in care, curiosity and trust in your inner knowing. Together we’ll listen for what’s beneath the surface, honour what has shaped you and what arises in each session and support the parts of you that are ready for change, rest, or renewal.

Sometimes we find we need support in a journey that might lead us back to the heart, to unknown depths or to places that hurt so that we might heal. Counselling is a service of the heart and I hold this with reverence, curiosity and care in a nurturing confidential space co-created by myself and the client.

In counselling I work with people in one’s unfolding, a gradual working with layers of complexity and a journey back to self. The counselling journey is one of exploration with reconnection often at the centre of the work. And, this is work. I will accompany you, walk alongside you, hold what needs holding for you. You will be the author of your own inner work.

The journey of each client is unique, and so the work we do together is also unique. To find out more about how I work and the ways in which I practice, explore here.

My in-person sessions are held in Stroud and Painswick and I have online sessions which can be accessed both nationally and internationally. To find out about the kinds of things you might expect in counselling such as the investment, time and location, explore see FAQs below.

My practice is always evolving as I deepen my own work with varied psychotherapeutic philosophies and models. I aim to evolve a practice that works within diversity, actively practises anti-oppression and remains open to learning and rethinking. I will also work with clients in an endeavour to resource the client and am aware of my own privilege and senses. To find out more about how I practice, explore here.
